In this course, as well as the Image Analysis course, the Continuous Exam concept is used to give students feedback on their learning every week via quizzes. The quizzes are corrected, results individually emailed, and printed for student consultation by AI, using image analysis tools described here:
Alonso-Fernandez, F., & Bigun, J. (2022, March). Continuous examination by automatic quiz assessment using spiral codes and image processing. In 2022 IEEE Global Engineering Education Conference (EDUCON) (pp. 929-935). IEEE.

In the DEIS course, J. Bigun contributes (only) to the teaching of the image processing part, in particular the "gps-server," a robotics education infrastructure with a camera on the ceiling and spiral codes in the scene enabling tracking and identification. In Spiral Codes in Robotics, example videos illustrate tracking, identification, and control for automatic navigation, by the ceiling camera and multiple spirals.
